Non-emergency Line

What is the non-emergency line?

The line is for all police matters that do not require an immediate response. The response to the non-emergency line is not immediate and might need to wait because high priority has been given to emergency 911 calls. If you fear for your immediate safety, please call 911.

When should I report a non-emergency?

  • Reporting a crime with no suspect (example: theft of a license plate or bicycle)
  • Reporting a crime with suspect, but the suspect is not on the scene (example: fraud / scam)
  • Reporting a serious crime with suspect, but with a lengthy delay (example: assault that occurred few hours ago)
  • Non-emergency in progress (example: noise complaint)
  • On-going crime issues or crimes that are not in-progress (example: on-going drug dealing with no suspect on scene)
  • A suspicious circumstance that may indicate an ongoing criminal activity (example: suspected drug lab)
